Smoove launches eConveyancer+

eConveyancer, part of Smoove Ltd has this week launched eConveyancer+, a new product that measures the communication and efficiency of the conveyancing process.

The product is a new set of service standards developed in partnership with brokers and conveyancers to “help establish a more transparent and seamless” transaction process. The standards include a commitment to give updates to the homeowner every five working days. Enquiries submitted through the eConveyancer platform will also be responded to within 24 hours in order to improve query response times and deliver regular updates with clear milestone tracking, they stated. The system also delivers real time communications scores to track performance against these new standards.

The service proposition is available as an additional service to those already using the eConveyancer platform and they have said that it has already delivered improved efficiencies across the board. Conveyancers have seen a 23% reduction in queries as a result of the regular updates, while brokers get help identifying the right conveyancing partner for their specific needs.

The launch of eConveyancer+ follows the acquisition of Smoove by PEXA at the end of 2023.  Matt Joy, Chief Growth Officer at Smoove, commented:

“The property transactions process is a complicated one with lots of stakeholders involved throughout. As such, one of the biggest challenges is communication. Driving efficiency here is vital, especially when all brokers and conveyancers want to do is best serve the end borrower. Transparency is key to building trust and, by working closely together with brokers and conveyancers on our panel, we’ve designed achievable service standards to give everyone the confidence they need to deliver this. eConveyancer+ is designed to provide reliable, transparent and up-to-date information for its users, resulting in a smoother conveyancing process for all.”

Joe Pepper, UK CEO at PEXA, said:

“The launch of eConveyancer+ embodies our commitment as part of PEXA’s acquisition of Smoove, which set out to address the inefficient infrastructure in the back end of the conveyancing process that hinders conveyancers when they are just trying to deliver for their clients. The new standards have been designed in partnership with conveyancers to help reduce their admin time which in turn reduces their stress levels and increases their capacity to deal with a market in high demand. The aim is to help them drive efficiencies by improving communication and allowing all stakeholders to adopt a truly customer centric approach.”

  1. Will enquires responded to in 24 hours be “to follow”? What idiot designed that? Enquiries have to go to the client to assist with answering. Responses then scrutinised by their conveyancers to make sure that nothing is left hanging.

    1. The eConveyancer platform has a messaging feature allowing clients to message our conveyancers directly. Our updated standards ask conveyancers to respond to these messages within 24 hours to ensure efficient communication and a smooth process. We hope this clarifies the issue, and we appreciate your feedback.
