Conveyancing Foundation Reflects on a Successful 2023 and Sets Ambitious Goals for 2024

This year, the not-for-profit charity raised close to £100,000, with every penny directed back into the conveyancing industry to improve and enhance the wellbeing of individuals in the property sector.

In 2023, the Foundation celebrated a significant milestone, surpassing £1 million in total funds raised since its inception in 2010. This achievement underlines the Foundation’s enduring commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

Charity Lotto Scheme Triumphs: Making a Difference Together

The Charity Lotto Scheme continues to thrive, providing an effortless way for individuals and businesses to support charitable causes. Participants can effortlessly champion their chosen charities by promoting the Charity Lotto to clients, who, in turn, contribute a £10 entry fee at the end of their transaction and are entered into a monthly and quarterly prize draw, with the lucky winners pocketing £100 and £500 cash.

In 2023, the Conveyancing Foundation proudly acknowledges the following top contributors to the Charity Lotto: Convey Law, Direction Law, Wilson Nesbitt, BTMK Marcus Baum and Sam Hawking Property Lawyers.

The combined efforts of Charity Lotto Members resulted in an impressive total of over £73,000.

Charity Grant Scheme: A First for the Industry  

In 2023, the Conveyancing Foundation introduced the innovative Charity Grant Scheme. Which awarded individuals within the property sector holding a fundraising event with grants of up to £2000 for their chosen charity.

The Foundation awarded three Charity Grants in 2023, with £2000 going to; Women in Residential Property that held a cinema evening for human trafficking charity, Ella’s. Aconveyancing held ‘It’s A Knockout’, bringing people from across the industry together for a thrilling team event in aid of the charity, Samuels Promise. A grant was also awarded to Conveyancing Foundation Crusader, Jessie Bishop, who completed the London Marathon to raise money for Mind charity.

The Charity Grant Scheme will continue in 2024 and is open to anyone in the property sector that is raising money for charity.

Strengthening Bonds: Partnerships and Ambassadors

The Foundation’s success is significantly attributed to its extensive network of partners. With 13 key partners in 2023 including Convey Law, Convey365, tmgroup, Groundsure, The Society Of Licensed Conveyancers, LEAP, Morale Solutions, Today’s Media, Bold Legal Group and welcomed 4 new partners; Property Conveyancing Consultancy, Orion Legal Marketing, PEXA and most recently Cashroom.

Adding to the Foundation’s strength, four distinguished individuals joined as ambassadors in 2023, including, David Opie, CEO of Today’s Media, Rob and Lynne Hailstone founders of Bold Legal Group and Elizabeth Rimmer the CEO of LawCare.

These ambassadors play pivotal roles in championing the Foundation’s cause and expanding its reach within the industry.

Survey Insights and Future Initiatives

2023 saw the launch of the first Survey, part of the “Be Kind We Care” initiative. The Foundation conducted a comprehensive survey in 2023 with 524 responses, setting the stage for future initiatives. Two more surveys are planned for 2024, including the second edition of the “Wellbeing at Work” survey in collaboration with Morale Solutions, which is set to open in early January 2024.

As the Conveyancing Foundation bids farewell to 2023, they express gratitude to supporters for their commitment. The Foundation remains resolute in its mission to advance positive change in the conveyancing and legal sector.
