Ahead of the Early Bird Entry deadline on 11th November, the British Conveyancing Awards has announced The Conveyancing Foundation as Charity Partner for the event which returns on 21st March 2023.
The British Conveyancing Awards were launched in 2021 in recognition of the “herculean” efforts of the industry throughout the pandemic and in response to the SDLT exemption. 2023 sees The Conveyancing Foundation continue its association with the awards for a second year following its involvement in the 2022 ceremony where the evening raised over £5000 for charitable causes.
The Conveyancing Foundation has been working to promote good mental health, workplace wellbeing, best practice, and professional values within the conveyancing industry through its “Be Kind We Care” initiative launched in 2021. David Opie, Managing Director of Today’s Media, organisers of the awards, said:
“Being kind and caring was an important theme for conveyancers throughout 2021 and into 2022 as we continued to deal with the repercussions of the pandemic, inflated transaction volumes and delays.”
We were keen to tie up with the Foundation in 2022 and are proud to be associated with such a worthwhile cause again in 2023.”
The Conveyancing Foundation is a zero-profit registered charity whose purpose is to enhance the lives of those in the conveyancing industry and to support charity fundraising initiatives. To date, it has raised over £935,000 for charities through its Charity Lotto and in 2023 the charity fundraising is set to reach £1 million!
In 2023 the Foundation will be launching new surveys, reports, and best practice information to further support wellbeing and change in the property industry, as well as introducing a new grant scheme.
Jade Morgan, Conveyancing Foundation Coordinator, has expressed her excitement in continuing working with the awards, saying:
“We are delighted to have been invited to the British Conveyancing Awards as Charity Partner for a second time. The awards provide an excellent opportunity for us to share all of the wonderful work of the Foundation with those that are directly benefiting from some of the Foundation’s key programmes such as Be Kind We Care.
Being present at events such as the British Conveyancing Awards is essential to the continued success of the Foundation, so we are incredibly grateful and humbled to be working alongside Today’s Media again.”
Held as a virtual event in its first year, 2022 saw an audience of 800 people, 300 in person and 500 online, join in the celebrations at the hybrid event hosted at Church House in London. In 2023, the awards aims to go bigger and better with a brand new venue at 8 Northumberland Avenue, London and a new Headline Sponsor in Groundsure.
