Cyber Secrity Ukraine

National cyber security alert issued in response to Ukraine conflict

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is urging UK businesses and organisations to bolster their cyber security resilience in response to malicious cyber incidents in and around Ukraine.

NCSC has issued updated guidance to help organisations to build resilience and stay ahead of potential threats.

It is important to read this guidance to understand what action may be taken and the steps to take to improve security. It also offers information on how to balance cyber risk and defence, alongside factors affecting the risk to any one organisation. The action suggested within the guidance includes:

  • Check your system patching
  • Verify access controls
  • Ensure defences are working
  • Logging and monitoring
  • Review your backups
  • Have an incident plan
  • Check your internet footprint
  • Phishing responses
  • Third party access
  • NCSC services
  • Brief your wider organisation

There is also guidance on advanced actions aimed at those organisations with more resources available.

For more information, read the guidance on the NCSC website.
