CLC Code of Conduct Consultation

The Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) has opened an 8 week Code of Conduct Consultation, asking for feedback on a series of questions by Friday, 22nd December 2023.

The Code of Conduct provides both the Ethical Principles and the outcomes that are relevant to each principle. It is there to act as a guide to CLC lawyers when undertaking daily tasks. The current Code of Conduct can be found here.

CLC has started an 8 week consultation period where they are collating feedback in the form of answers to a questionnaire on refreshing the Code of Conduct.

On 5th December 2023, CLC are hosting a webinar from 12:30 – 13:30. CLC state that this will be an opportunity for those interested to discuss matters raised in the consultation and share thoughts and opinions. Register to attend the webinar here.

CLC are asking those interested in providing feedback on the consultation to answer questions which are provided in the consultation document but there is scope to provide other information outside of the direct questions.  If you do want to provide your thoughts and opinions you can answer the online questionnaire, or email your written responses to clc@clc-uk.org or post them to Council for Licensed Conveyancers, 120 Moorgate, London, EC2A 6UR.
