“Uptick” in remortgage activity with over 3,000 remortgage customers in a single day

Stockport based ONP Solicitors has said there are positive indications in the remortgage market as it processed more than 3,000 remortgage transactions on Monday 3rd April. With more than 1.5m five-year fixed rate mortgages reaching the end of their fixed period this year, ONP suggest this is just the “beginning of what is to come this year.”

The firm says it completed 120,000 transactions in 2022 across sale, purchase and remortgage and in February came in for criticism in the national press for its service and client relationship management. In response CEO Nick Hale hit back saying ONP had become “the latest whipping boy” for the publication pointing to the number of negative reviews accounting for only 0.7% of cases, with upheld claims sitting at 0.13%.

Customers reviewed on Monday gave ONP a Trustpilot score of 4.8 out of 5. Commenting on the achievement, Nick Hale, Chief Executive Office at ONP said:
