tmgroup to present a back-to-basics training webinar on environmental searches

Environmental searches are one of the core conveyancing searches for a residential property transaction.  The way these searches look at the historical records for a property and its surrounding area, and check for environmental risks, is evolving.

Property search specialists, tmgroup, and Groundsure are pleased to present a free training webinar for newly qualified solicitors or anyone looking to refresh their knowledge on the foundations of environmental risks and climate change.

Back to basics: environmental searches

When is it?

Thursday 26th September 2024 at 11am

What’s included?
During this session, we will:

  • Review which risks have practice notes – assess what guidance is in the Conveyancing Handbook in regard to the different environmental risks and why these are important for a client to understand for the property transaction.
  • Examine the four core environmental risks – contaminated land, flood, natural ground instability and radon.
  • Look at additional environmental risks that can impact your clients and certain regions of the country differently – coal and non-coal mining, rail transportation, energy infrastructure, and planning applications.
  • Explore climate change risk – what the impacts to property transactions are, how to navigate ClimateIndex and how we can help you with your reporting to clients.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing instructions on how to join the webinar.
