The SRA have published the following warning to Solicitors:
“Information received by the SRA indicates that an office may be operating as Velocity Law Firm or Velocity Law Firm Ltd from 201 Coventry Road, Birmingham, B10 0RA (telephone numbers 0121 4480818 and 0121 4480848). Other information received links this address with the firm of Parmars Solicitors that was intervened in March 2012.
Parmars of 120 London Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE1 0QS was a legitimate solicitor’s practice operating as a sole practitioner firm by principal Mr Dinesh Parmar. The SRA has issued a warning concerning a number of other addresses used under the name of Parmars Solicitors that appear not to have been legitimate branch offices of the former solicitor’s practice, Parmars.
Any business or transactions currently operating from the 201 Coventry Road address or via the telephone numbers 0121 4480818 and 0121 4480848 are not undertaken by a solicitor’s practice authorised by the SRA, and are not regulated by the SRA. Money should not be sent to anyone operating from this address.
Any dealings with an office at 201 Coventry Road, particularly if it involves the payment of money, should be reported urgently to the SRA red alert line on 01926 4396731 or 0845 8500999 or redalert@sra.org.uk, or to the police.
