Today's Conveyancer Podcast

Rob Hailstone: 40-something years in conveyancing… and still going strong

Founder of the Bold Legal Group Rob Hailstone joins David Opie in this latest Today’s Conveyancer podcast.

Rob talks about his 40-plus years in conveyancing and his own journey from running a busy conveyancing practice in Bovey Tracey through to HIP-provider, and on to championing the work of conveyancers up and down the country though the popular membership organisation Bold Legal Group.

Through BLG Rob sees the best and worst of the conveyancing industry. Describing the changes since his time as a conveyancer he says

“Back then I would say we had 7 to 10 big plates to keep spinning at one time. Nowadays you have 15-20 smaller plates to keep spinning which is a much harder task.”

Rob and David discuss the evolution of conveyancing and what the future holds. Imploring conveyancers to embrace up front information and the wider benefits to the transaction Rob calls on the industry to “grasp the nettle” and level the playing field in property transactions.
