“Revolutionary” conveyancing service launched

Conveyancing industry personality Eddie Goldsmith has launched YouConvey, a conveyancing service he says will “revolutionise the conveyancing industry”.

YouConvey will place greater onus on homeowners to take control of admin tasks often assigned to busy conveyancing teams with the intention of reducing the time and stress involved in their transaction.

Homeowners will be given access to all the necessary documentation they need to complete on day one of their transaction.

The legal aspects of the transaction will be conducted by regulated practitioners, and YouConvey’s specialist Home Mover Advisors will guide home movers through the process.

It will, according to Goldsmith, encourage greater transparency and help home movers feel more engaged throughout the process:

Over my years in practice I have seen at first-hand how homemovers can feel isolated and on the fringe during their transaction. The Government has little appetite for a root and branch review of the process, so any improvements have to be industry initiatives.”

Goldsmith added:

With YouConvey, homemovers will finally be able to take control of their transaction, saving time whilst still receiving the necessary legal support to ensure that all the legal aspects of the transaction are covered.”

YouConvey describes itself as “collaborative conveyancing”, encouraging homeowners, conveyancers and Home Mortgage Advisors to work together. Goldsmith concluded:

It is not about removing or replacing conveyancers. This is about working smarter through collaboration and allowing conveyancers to get on with the job they were trained to do – looking after the clients’ legal interests. I am fortunate to have received the backing and expertise of Nova, who have provided the resources and support to take this from concept to launch.”

Eddie Goldsmith will be speaking to Today’s Conveyancer in an upcoming podcast to be released in the coming week.
