It was announced this morning that Baroness Eluned Morgan was elected as Welsh first minister in a vote of Senedd members after the resignation of Vaughan Gething as the Welsh Labour leader.
The Welsh Parliament was recalled from summer recess for a special meeting in order to vote for the new appointment of first minister.
Propertymark are calling the new appointment ‘a key moment’ and welcome a ‘strong engagement with the Welsh government’.

The First Minister must build on this work and deliver on increasing the supply in all housing tenures through taxation reform, using the delivery of the White Paper on fair rents and adequate housing to reject rent controls and enhance property standards through improved engagement with landlords and property agents.”
