Home moving group Movera, which comprises ONP Solicitors, Cavendish Legal Group (CLG), LMS, and Conveyancing Alliance (CAL), says it has strengthened its recruitment team with the appointment of Matt Darwell to a newly-created Talent Attraction Partner role.
The role was created to ‘underscore Movera’s commitment to attracting and retaining top talent’ said the group, with Darwell responsible for communicating the employer brand, proactively seeking out talent, and and introducing continuity and structure to recruitment strategies.
Commenting on his appointment Darwell said
“I’ve always sought to go beyond simply adding people to an organisation. My aim has been to contribute from the inside out—helping to build a culture that attracts and nurtures talent sustainably. I see great opportunities at Movera to think differently, apply innovative technologies where they add value, and humanise the experience for both employees and customers.”
Movera has a presence in seven location across the UK and conducts 300,000+ conveyancing transactions per year. It also has a sizeable remortgage presence with over 125,000 processed p/a. It has grown to over 600 people with Darwell adding he had been attracted to the combination of technology and people-first values.
“Movera is creating a consumer-driven, tech-enabled experience while ensuring the human element remains integral. I want to give people a real insight into who we are as a company and make Movera the employer of choice.”
Darwell’s own background in recruitment has seen him work both within an agency setting and in-house; experience he says will stand him in good stead to achieve Movera’s ambitions.
The announcement comes in the same week Movera have joined the Open Property Data Association. Andrew Taylor, Chief Technology Officer at Movera, said:
“Joining OPDA represents a significant milestone in our mission to simplify and streamline the home-moving process. We are committed to leveraging technology to create a more seamless and transparent experience for homebuyers. By working alongside OPDA and its members, we aim to accelerate the adoption of digital services that will drive greater efficiency and improve customer outcomes across the industry. With OPDA’s framework, we can ensure that critical property data is accessible, accurate, and secure, which will benefit both customers and industry professionals alike.”
