Mortgage market share growth for Barclays

Barclays recently reported their share gross new mortgage lending for 2010 is 13%, an increase of 3% on figures for 2009. Gross mortgage lending for 2010 was £16.9 billion, up £2.7 billion on their figures for 2009, £14.2 billion while net mortgage lending grew by £0.2 billion.
Mortgage balances increased by £13.3 billion, giving a share by value of 8%.
Average LTVs increased from 48% to 52% in 2010 for new mortgage lending although buy to let LTVs remained the same as 2009 figures at 43%.
An increase in group profit before tax has also been recorded, up 32% to £6.1 billion from £4.6 billion in 2009.
