Legal GiGZ launches ‘world first’ global directory of business of law conferences and events

Legal GiGZ, which claims to be the world’s first comprehensive directory of ‘business of law’ conferences and events, has launched a platform bringing together over 260 legal industry events across more than 40 countries.

Founded by Shaun Jardine, a former law firm CEO and managing partner with over 30 years’ experience in the legal sector, the platform aims to end the “fragmented search for conferences, speakers and suppliers”, offering legal professionals a single resource for the global legal events calendar.

“Until now, lawyers, law firm leaders and legal suppliers have had to trawl multiple websites, newsletters, and networks to track relevant events – a time-consuming and inefficient process,” the company said.

The international conferences and events featured on the platform cover leadership, business development, legal technology, finance and pricing, people and culture, and legal operations. The directory is updated regularly and includes detailed event information, speaker listings and supplier directories.

“The legal events landscape has grown tremendously, but it’s become genuinely difficult to keep track of what’s happening and where,” said Jardine.

“We created Legal GiGZ after I found three major events scheduled on the same day in the same city – terrible for organisers, delegates, and sponsors alike. The legal profession needed a single, reliable resource that brings everything together. That’s what Legal GiGZ delivers.”

The platform will benefit a wide range of professionals including law firm managing partners, COOs, heads of business development, legal technology leaders, in-house legal teams, conference organisers, legal sector suppliers and speakers, its founders said.

The launch has been welcomed by legal professionals globally, with comments from as far afield as New Zealand and Australia. “Finally! This should have existed years ago,” Chantal McNaught of People In Law in Auckland said, while John Chisholm of John Chisholm Consulting in Melbourne said the platform is “what the legal profession has been waiting a long time for. A worldwide comprehensive one-stop shop directory of upcoming legal events. Brilliant.”

Closer to home, Amy Bruce of Osprey Approach in Poole said:

“Finally… one place that covers all legal events. It’s important for lawyers, operational leaders and suppliers to collaborate to build the best legal tech, so making it easy to find the right events is the first step.”

Kirsty Pappin of Aries Legal Management in London said of the platform:

“Legal GiGZ is desperately needed in a sector where everything is fragmented across platforms. It will be incredibly useful across the many hats I wear – working with law firms, attending conferences, and networking – because having a clear view of the year ahead helps me plan and coordinate my diary.”

The platform includes a searchable directory of conferences filtered by topic, date, and location, with direct links to registration pages, with free basic event listings for conference organisers. Speakers can add their profiles to the platform, while suppliers can add business listings and promote events to conference delegates.

All basic listings for conference organisers and suppliers are free, with optional paid upgrades for greater visibility and promotional features.
