Adapting To The ‘New Normal’

Legal Eye – sponsors and speakers at this year’s Annual Conveyancing Association Conference

2023 has begun and the Conveyancing Industry is taking no time in getting together to tackle the challenges of the near future with the Annual Conveyancing Association Conference on 7th February.

Held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel just by St Pauls in the capital, as sponsors of the conference,  Legal Eye MD, Paul Saunders will be on the speaker programme alongside some key figure heads in not only the Conveyancing world but the legal industry as a whole.

Paul was appointed Managing Director of Legal Eye Ltd in 2016 after 28 years as a solicitor in the legal profession. He is also an Executive Board member at Smoove plc (Legal Eye’s parent company). During his time in practice Paul has been at Board level in several firms including roles as CEO and COLP for five years at a large Midlands law firm and as Head of Lender Services and Residential at Shakespeare Martineau.

Panel discussion

For more than two years now the entire working force of the world has seen an acceleration in remote working and the way in which the general public access all services, not just legal ones. But, where are we now? How do we merge both the hybrid way of working with our regulatory obligations whilst also mitigating risk? Client expectations are shifting and can be fickle if they are not met. Just how do firms continue to grow and deliver good, compliant legal service?

Along with the rest of the panel, Paul will be discussing this and explore how the industry will fare in the coming years, what is slowing us down, what will be speeding up and what might be on the horizon? Recruitment is a massive issue for all, but in conveyancing some good talent has been lost – how do we redress the balance?

At this year’s annual conference, the panel and attendees will seek to take stock of all of this and more. Much has happened since the last conference , the industry faces another shift in the housing market as we move into the new year, so ensuring services stay relevant to 21st century clients could not be more imperative.
