Legal Eye launch free conveyancing CPD seminar

Legal Eye launch unique seminars on law firm compliance, risk management and marketing

Legal Eye, the market leader for accreditation and compliance assessment, has launched the first in a series of vital seminars for partners and practitioners to offer practical management solutions.  The sessions will offer a balanced mix of advice on internal compliance management and risk reduction, together with guidance on looking outside at the market and building effective strategies for commercial growth.

Initially, to be held at the Mercure Hotel, Watford on July 4th, additional seminar dates for the Midlands and North will be added soon.  3 CPD points are available and the session is free to attend.

Said Jaunita Gobby, Director of Legal Eye:  “The new compliance requirements for law firms come at a time of unprecedented market change and new competition. Practices must equip themselves with the right tools to maintain required standards, reduce their risk and implement effective customer—centered marketing strategies to defend and grow their business. “

“We have launched this seminar as part of our broader range of professional law firm support, covering compliance standards, risk reduction tools and marketing services. Management teams need to think even handedly about internal controls while being alive to what the market is doing and how best to position themselves for the future.”

The event will be also be supported by Moneypenny, the leading outsourced telephony support provider for the legal services marketplace. They will be on hand to discuss ways that practices can fulfill their client care obligations and deliver improved access to services.

The seminar sessions include:

Examining the role of the COLP and what is required to monitor different parts of the practice. These will include the systems and risk registers that firms need to consider and meet their duties under OFR.

How to create powerful marketing strategies by understanding your market, client data and the power of communications through content and social media — presented by seasoned legal services marketer, David Kempster from Clear Edge Communications.

Jenny Owen from Lawyer Checker will also discuss how practitioners can be sure that they are dealing with a legitimate firm in a conveyancing transaction.  She will look at a series of recent cases and provide practical advice to safeguard against these risks.
