Will PLAG accept the result?
Of course they will. This isn’t the end of the debate, it rumbles on.
Everyone will have their say in the upcoming consultation, and we’ll see what the Law Society does from there.
Will the Law Society accept the result of the consultation?
In my opinion the implementation of the TA6 form was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
Hopefully this will be a wake up call and that Law Society has ACTUALY listen………..consult.
There are many issues that the conveyancing consumer faces on their journey to moving. There are moments throughout my day, in my role of customer service, I think the industry is going to implode…..and then we are going to left with rolling unknowledgeable, unsupported case workers leaving due to the stress of having a heavy case load.
I find it hard that regulators ears are closed. They make edits whilst I suspect many on the Board or at management level have never actually worked on the coal face doing the face-to-face in a conveyancing business and have a real understanding of the impact of referral fees on businesses and the consumer
We have experienced many chains at the point of breaking. Today we have one where we and the whole chain have been ready for six weeks, but hey ho, the bottom of the chain two day’s before expected exchange can’t do it until they do AML of giftor’s money. It just makes you want to weep!
Yes! There are bigger issues than the TA6!
Excellent content
Out of the many thousands of solicitors only 207 voted to support the President and CEO in such a critical vote which may be telling of the unrest felt over the general feelings of all solicitors on how The Law Society is conducting itself.
Had The Law Society not been forced to ‘postpone’ the TA6 after the EGM was called the out come may have been very different. Maybe time for the President & CEO to move those who got them in this mess???
