Law firm supporters and sponsors now able to show support for NCW

Law firm supporters and sponsors are now able to show their support for National Conveyancing Week (NCW), which will take place between the 11th and 15th March 2024.

NCW is a week-long series of online meetings and events designed to raise the profile of conveyancing, improve understanding of the home moving process, and create strong and beneficial working relationships between all stakeholders. All law firms active in the conveyancing process are now able to register their involvement and commitment to taking part in NCW for free.

As a result of registration, each firm will receive a free promotional pack from NCW containing resources to help firms make their events stand out, including balloons, bunting, flyers, and guides to making the most of the week’s activities.

Each registered law firm will have their logo and website link listed on the NCW website, plus they will also receive a media pack containing assets they can use online to promote NCW and their involvement.

On Wednesday 13th March conveyancing firms are being encouraged to open their doors and invite and engage with a wide range of stakeholders including consumers, referrers, mortgage advisers, and estate agents through a ‘Collaboration Coffee Morning’.

Firms will also be encouraged to hold ‘Lunch and Learn’ and ‘Meet the Team’ sessions, in order to foster relationships, and to ensure stakeholders have a broader knowledge of the conveyancing process and the firm itself. NCW has also announced a host of commercial sponsors whose contributions have made it possible to share the free promotional packs and put on the series of events taking place throughout the week.

The sponsors contributing so far are: Access Legal, Bold Legal Group, Cashroom, The Conveyancing Foundation, Dye & Durham, Dual Asset, The ESTAS, Groundsure, Howdens, The Association of Independent Personal Search Agents, Infotrack, Movin’ Legal, Perfect Portal, Sort Refer, tmgroup, and Today’s Media.

Law firms are also being encouraged to raise money for their chosen work-place charities throughout the week. NCW is working closely with The Conveyancing Foundation – the industry charity whose purpose is to enhance the lives of those in the conveyancing industry and to support charity fundraising initiatives.

The Conveyancing Foundation has pledged to match the money raised by law firms during NCW. Firms who raise money for their chosen charities throughout the week can apply to the Conveyancing Foundation to match their fund-raising. Rob Hailstone, Organiser of National Conveyancing Week and Chief Executive of the Bold Legal Group, commented:

“With 2024 well underway, we are now just under two months away from National Conveyancing Week in March and we wanted to encourage all law firms to register with us, to begin planning what they will do, and to provide them with a range of free resources that will allow them and their stakeholders to get the most out of their efforts.

We have free promotional packs, a free media pack, plus some extra goodies that can be utilised throughout NCW in order to highlight their own work, but to also make sure they engage with all manner of other individuals and firms who can benefit from a closer relationship with the firm and a deeper understanding of what conveyancing is.

NCW would not be possible without the fantastic support of our sponsors who contribute so much to the series of events we have planned, and in terms of funding the resources we can offer to all those who take part. We are just putting the finishing touches to our NCW Agenda and we’ll be publishing this shortly, plus of course we also have the British Conveyancing Awards taking place during the week, which should add to the theme of the industry coming together, rewarding excellence and highlighting the work of firms.

We would encourage all law firms active in conveyancing to get in touch with us, register their interest and help make NCW a real conveyancing highlight of the year.”

  1. Have the Law Society or CLC offered backing yet? Not sure how this can proceed without backing from the official arbiters of conveyancing in this country? Can this oversight be explained please?

  2. Surely conveyancers can have a celebratory week if they choose? Having said that, if the CLC (who will be involved) and TLS want to officially offer backing that would be welcomed.

Come on law firms, it’s free and you can select what you want watch throughout the week.

Conveyancers are often underappreciated, misunderstood, and sometimes underpaid. Let’s raise an awareness of what you do, why you do it, and why it is so important.
