BBS Law’s team now uses Lawyer Checker several times a day. No transactional funds are sent to another solicitor without a Lawyer Checker verification on file for that firm.
“Lawyer Checker offers us certainty that funds are always sent to the correct place,” says Barr. “It saves us time as otherwise manual checks would be needed, which would involve telephoning and verifying with firms and individuals familiar with that conveyancing matter directly. With Lawyer Checker, this is all done for us in seconds.”
Training for Lawyer Checker is completed by a BBS Law tech champion.

He adds that Lawyer Checker searches can safely be undertaken by any of the BBS Law’s support staff, so the firm doesn’t need to rely on specific individuals.
“It has become part of our system,” says Barr.
Lawyer Checker verifies correct details and occasionally, results are returned that require additional checks. Barr says BBS Law then verifies details directly with the law firm on the rare occasion it’s necessary to do so.
