In 2023, the Conveyancing Foundation introduced the Charity Grant Scheme, which provides individuals and organizations within the property industry with the opportunity to apply for Charity Grants of up to £2,000.
These grants are designed to support charity fundraising initiatives and events, allowing them to give back to communities and support noble causes. Just recently the charity announced it has surpassed the £1m milestone for funds raised and this year they have awarded Charity Grants of £2,000 to three causes:
- Women in Residential Property: Hosted a cinema night to raise vital funds for “Ella’s”.
- Aconveyancing: Orchestrated a “It’s a Knockout” event to support “Samuel’s Promise.”
- Jessie Bishop, Conveyancing Foundation Crusader: Ran the London Marathon to support the “Mind” mental health charity.
Conveyancing Foundation Chairman Lloyd Davies comments:
“Our objectives as a charity are to enhance the lives of those working in our industry and to help support those less fortunate than ourselves. With the fantastic support of our Foundation Partners, we have Charity Grant funds available to support those in the conveyancing industry who are looking to raise funds for charity. We very much look forward to hearing from and supporting those individuals who have set themselves a challenge to raise funds for their chosen charities.”
The Charity Grant Scheme operates year-round, with quarterly reviews of applications and subsequent grant awards. Donations can be directed either to the charity you are raising funds for or contributed to your designated donation platform, such as JustGiving.
