A Welsh conveyancing practice has spent the last 14 years raising money for children’s hospice Tŷ Hafan with their latest adventure raising over £58,000 for the charity. The Bike, Boat, Boot Challenge saw a group of fathers and uncles cycle, row, and hike over two hundred miles across Wales across a 4 day period in June.
The latest expedition saw Tŷ Hafan Dad’s Paul Fears, Dan Forbes, Ryan Tomlinson, Chris Thomas, James Meacham, Lee Morgan, and Anthoany Boggis, along with Laurence Morgan (brother of Lee) and Jason Foster (Tŷ Hafan’s Director of Finance) travel from Conwy Castle to Ty Hafan’s Children’s Hospice in Sully from Thursday 27th June to Sunday 30th June.
Money raised from the initiative will go toward the running of the charity, which relies entirely on fundraising support and private donations, and provides palliative care, family support, and bereavement counselling for families. The Just Giving page is still open for donations.
Convey Law has supported the charity extensively with Lloyd Davies, Managing Director, saying
“We’ve been supporting Ty Hafan through company fundraising activities and participating in for 14 years (participants pay a £10 entry fee, with £9 going directly to charity and the chance to win a £500 monthly prize) to raise incredible funds for the Children’s Hospice. However, our fundraising efforts at Convey Law are just a small part of a larger network, dedicated to raising awareness and helping to increase donations. The Tŷ Hafan Dads have once again, taken on an incredibly tough challenge. Throughout their Bike, Boat, Boot Challenge their dedication and perseverance has been incredible to watch and truly motivating for us all.”
Paul Fears, from the Ty Hafan Dads commented,
“Our sponsorships are now over £58,000! Thank you to everyone who has supported us, this really gives us a boost. When we look at the page and we see that the money is coming in, I can’t tell you the lift that it gives the team.”
