British Conveyancing Awards Sponsor Spotlight: Legal Bricks

In a series of Spotlight pieces, we are thrilled to introduce our supporters of The British Conveyancing Awards 2021

Alongside headline sponsor Lawyer Checker, we look forward to recognising individuals, teams and companies who have gone above and beyond to support buyers and sellers to move home during the most challenging year the conveyancing industry has perhaps ever seen.

Today we profile New Business Champion of the Year sponsors Legal Bricks.

We’re delighted to have Legal Bricks on board with us for the inaugural British Conveyancing Awards. First of all, tell us who you are and what you do

We are a “Prop-Tech” company who specialise in simplifying the conveyancing process for Solicitors, Estate Agents and Consumers.

Our platform provides a one stop solution for everything from Conveyancing Quotations and Client Management, to Client Referrals, AML ID Checks, Conveyancing Searches, Indemnities and much more.

What have Legal Bricks been doing over the past 12 months? I imagine it’s been a busy time working through a pandemic.

Wow…That’s a great question!

This last 12 months have been a roller coaster of emotions and at times, it’s been hard to keep up. Our goal is, and has always been, to keep ourselves grounded. We have continually moved forward with our core focus, of making conveyancing a simpler journey for everyone involved in property!

2021 sees us launch a brand new solution to the conveyancing market and we are very excited to reveal this, in the imminent future.

What do you think is the biggest challenge the sector has faced over the last 12 months?

The sheer volume of work that the property industry has had to deal with. The SDLT holiday was a great tool to kick start the economy and really push the property sector after the initial lockdown, but I now feel we need to look forward to the next chapter, and how we continue the momentum with the re-introduction of SDLT.

To support this, we have a number of things happening which we feel will really compliment the conveyancing process and should be released prior to this date.

And what innovations were you seeing in the market?

Tech in all arenas has really taken a front seat over the past year. After all, who had actually heard of Zoom 12 months ago?

But for us, Land Registry announcing their acceptance of the E-Signature for TR1 forms, was the epitome of progress in property!

This opens up a whole new world for law firms. For Legal Bricks, we see this as one of the catalysts which will give firms more confidence to migrate data, which was previously being held in paper form, to an electronic process.

What are your predictions for the sector in 2022 and beyond?

More tech, more evolution and more transparency. Solicitors do an amazing job and now we have the opportunity to support them in ways and means that were previously unattainable, or unachievable.

Again…Watch this space!

Have you got any messages for the sector and our shortlisters?

The fact that you have been shortlisted for this award is a massive achievement in its own right. There are thousands of law firms, solicitors and conveyancers throughout the country and you have been chosen as one of the few individuals, for your success in championing new business. An amazingly hard feat to master.

A quote which is often used, but underestimated, is Keep it Simple! There is nothing simple about conveyancing, but you have obviously found a way to manage law, sales and marketing, in one foul swoop; so well done!

For the winner, our sincerest congratulations. You will no doubt have had a very successful year and all the team at Legal Bricks are wishing you every success for the remainder of 2021, and beyond!

Thank you to Legal Bricks for their support for The British Conveyancing Awards 2021.

The British Conveyancing Awards are taking to the virtual stage on Tuesday 25th May 2021 with the multi-award winning journalist and broadcaster Samira Ahmed leading the celebrations.
