adoor integrates with Compass to streamline SDLT workflows

adoor, the home moving platform connecting all parties in a property transaction and wider chain, has announced a new integration with Compass, the property tax technology business specialising in Stamp Duty Land Tax automation and submission.

The integration brings Compass’ SDLT calculation and compliance capabilities directly into the adoor workflow, allowing conveyancers and property professionals to access accurate tax outputs as part of a single, connected transaction journey. By removing duplication, reducing manual intervention and surfacing SDLT considerations earlier in the process, the combined solution helps speed up transactions while improving clarity for clients.

adoor provides a central platform for buyers, sellers, estate agents, conveyancers and mortgage brokers to track progress, communicate securely and reduce the administrative friction that typically slows property transactions. Compass supports conveyancers by automating SDLT calculations and HMRC submissions, acting as the tax agent and removing a significant area of regulatory and financial risk from law firms.

Through the integration, data already captured within adoor flows seamlessly into Compass, enabling faster SDLT processing, fewer errors and a more transparent experience for all parties involved. For legal teams, the integration also strengthens risk management by embedding SDLT expertise and compliant processes directly into day to day workflows.

Michael Wadsworth-Reid, CEO at adoor, said:

“Integrating with Compass is a strong strategic fit for adoor. SDLT is a complex part of the process that puts more pressure on already-busy conveyancers, with increasing regulations and consequences. By embedding Compass within our platform we are giving professionals and their clients greater certainty, fewer delays and a smoother overall moving experience.”

Lidia Quinlan, director at Compass, added:

“This integration allows SDLT to be dealt with at the right point in the transaction, without adding friction for conveyancers or their clients. By working with adoor, we are embedding trusted, compliant SDLT services directly into a modern digital workflow, helping firms reduce risk while improving efficiency and client outcomes.”

The integration is now available to adoor users and forms part of both businesses’ wider commitment to improving accuracy, transparency and confidence across the residential property transaction process.

How to access Compass through adoor:

To access the Compass service, head to your property on app.adoor.co.uk and complete the short form. There is no monthly fee to add Compass to your adoor profile. Compass is paid per transaction, which keeps things clear and straightforward when looking to invoice your clients.
