Women in Estate Agency (WiEA), originating as a small Facebook group, has rapidly evolved into a significant voice and network within the UK property professionals’ community.
Transitioning from their inaugural sold-out conference earlier this year, WiEA is now unveiling a series of initiatives aimed at empowering and supporting its members in the estate agency industry.
The first initiative comprises a series of webinars, scheduled to commence on October 13th at 11 am. Hosted by WiEA committee members, including Verona Frankish (CEO of YOPA), Kirsty Franks (Founder of Frank Marketing), and Iain McKenzie (CEO of the Guild of Property Professionals), the webinars will cover topics identified by members. Details regarding the inaugural webinar can be found on the group’s Facebook page or via provided links.
WiEA’s flagship event, the annual conference, is already in the planning stages for March 7th, 2024. With the theme “Together we are Unstoppable”, the conference anticipates significant attendance growth, accommodating 400 guests compared to the previous year’s 250. Notably, Rightmove will continue its support as the headline sponsor for the event.
Recognizing its nationwide influence, WiEA is actively recruiting Regional Advocates to serve as champions across the UK. These advocates will support local members through various activities and events while representing their estate agent networks. Additional information about this initiative will be shared on the group’s Facebook page.
WiEA emphasises the importance of influencing men in fostering real change for women. In a move toward gender inclusivity, the WiEA committee has welcomed Simon Brown (Founder of the ESTAS Group) and Iain McKenzie (CEO of The Guild of Property Professionals) to join its ranks.
