Veyo and Land Registry to headline at SLC/BLG Roadshows

Highly topical subjects confirmed for this year’s spring events

The Society of Licensed Conveyancers (SLC) and Bold Legal Group (BLG) have announced today that Veyo and Land Registry will be two of the featured speakers at this year’s spring road shows. With Veyo due to go live just before the events and with the Land Registry’s registration backlogs continuing to cause problems for conveyancers the road shows will provide a great opportunity for delegates to hear first-hand about these two important issues.

Simon Law, Chairman of SLC said: “These road shows are unique in that they are organised for conveyancers by conveyancers and always focus on the subjects that are the most topical for the legal profession. There has been a lot said and written about Veyo and I believe that our members, those of BLG and indeed the wider conveyancing community will want to take the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers at the events.”

Rob Hailstone, Founder of BLG commented: “Many of our members have expressed on-going frustration about backlogs at the Land Registry for first registration and more complex title transfers and will want to understand what the problems are and why they are taking so long to fix. The backlogs result in angst for clients, problems with mortgage lenders and of course an awful lot of unnecessary additional work and cost for conveyancers.”

The Roadshows which are sponsored this year by PSG, CLS, Future Climate Info and Wesleyan will be held in Leeds on 5th May, Northampton on 13th May, Croydon on 19th May and Bristol on 1st June. They all run from 2.00pm to 6.00pm and attract 4 CPD points.

The Roadshows are free to attend for SLC members, and every BLG member firm is entitled to one free delegate space at the events. Non-members are also most welcome to attend at the very reasonable rate of £75 per delegate which includes refreshments before and during each workshop.
