The British Conveyancing Awards 2025, sponsored by Groundsure, has announced TV personality Vernon Kay as host for the 2025 event. A staple of Saturday night entertainment, Kay currently hosts the Mid-Morning show on BBC Radio 2, and last year raised over £6,000,000 for Children In Need, by running an Ultra-Ultramarathon from Leicester to Bolton.
The British Conveyancing Awards return to London on 13th March 2025 to showcase the work of conveyancers and property lawyers up and down the country. Following the budget, in which Chancellor Rachel Reeves confirmed there would be no extension to the current first time buyer stamp duty cliff edge in March 2025, organisers Today’s Media have pushed the submission deadline back to provide more time for entry and perfecting submissions. The new deadlines are
- Friday 6th December for entry
- Wednesday 11the December for final submission
Vernon Kay follows in the footsteps of Paul Sinha, who hosted the awards in March this year, welcoming over 500 practitioners in person and online via the live stream. The awards invites submissions across 20 categories and recognises individual, firm and business excellence in customer service, technology, legal expertise and more. With a handful of new awards for 2025 the competition for top spot will be just as fervent as it ever has been.
2025 also sees the launch of a hugely important new category; “Conveyancing Excellence”. The award, which will replace the “Today’s Conveyancer Industry Champion”, embodies everything that Today’s Conveyancer stands for as a news publication and everything The British Conveyancing Awards was introduced to recognise; independence, integrity and a recognition of the incredible diversity of the profession. A category into which all the conveyancing firm and individual categories will be entered, with the winner identified as being the cream of the crop.
Each submission is scrutinised by a panel of expert judges drawn from across the sector; this year’s panel is
