VAT on CON29 searches announced

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) have allegedly stated there will be the proposed 20% increase from January 2017

In their latest release to their database, renowned search provider, Searches UK have announced HMRC “have commanded that VAT will be applied to Local Authority CON29 Searches”.

As previously reported by Today’s Conveyancer, plans to apply VAT on CON29 searches have been delayed throughout the last year.

Confirmation has yet to be received directly from HMRC, and Today’s Conveyancer will aim to obtain a response from one of their representatives.
