CBRE’s Jason Hardman appointed as new UKAA Investor Lender Forum Chair as investment in Build to Rent soars
The UK Apartment Association (UKAA) has announced Jason Hardman as the new Chair of its Investor Lender Forum. Hardman, who is Executive Director of Valuation and Advisory Services at CBRE, will hit the ground running by hosting a webinar: “UK BTR: Levelling up opportunities – where to invest next”, on Thursday 7th April 2022.
The organisation for the UK Build to Rent (BTR) sector, UKAA, has been growing its regional network, setting up groups across the country to champion the sector’s expansion. Its newly launched Investor Lender Forum will support those interested in having a financial stake in the BTR sector to understand the role of quality in operational assets and capabilities in optimising returns and managing downside and upside risk.
The 7th April webinar will invite UKAA members and guests to join a panel of seasoned investors to discuss a range of issues, including the importance of regional BTR growth, levelling up, demand for quality housing and the opportunities that local developments provide. Jason Hardman, Chair, UKAA Investor Lender Forum, said:
“Regional Build to Rent development is a huge growth area accounting for 60% of investment in Q4 2021. While the sector began in London, investment activity is now split evenly between the capital and the regions. Through the Investor Lender Forum, UKAA will be connecting with investors and lenders seeking to be part of BTR’s rapid regional growth.”
The Investor Lender Forum will support UKAA’s aim to de-risk the sector for investors, developers, operators and suppliers by delivering innovation, building knowledge through research and data and showcasing best practice. At the 7th April webinar, Forum Chair Jason Hardman will invite a range of experts to share their knowledge, including:
- James Whidborne, Head of Fund Management Residential UK at Edmond de Rothschild
- Alistair Wardell, Investment Director and Fund Manager at Gresham House PLC
- Ed Ellerington, Founder and Managing Director at Packaged Living
- Julia Morrow, Director of Acquisitions at Grainger PLC
