Dyfed-Powys Police have arrested a man in connection with the collision and are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.

In a statement, a police spokesperson said:
“The force would like to thank everyone who responded to their appeal with information. Officers are continuing to appeal for anyone traveling in the area at the time with dashcam footage, doorbell camera recordings, or CCTV to check their footage and get in touch.”

This tragedy has left the close-knit Llanpumsaint community in mourning as they remember Mr. Jones for his kindness and dedication to helping others.

A friend of Mr Jones said on LinkedIn:I’ve woken up to the tragic news that the fabulous Aaron Jones has passed away in a ‘hit and run’ incident. How devastating for his family at this special time of year.

I’ve had many conversations and meetings with Aaron whose knowledge about flood risk was second to none and I learned a lot from him.

I really have no words and may you rest in peace my friend.”
