Conveyancing distributor conveybuddy has completed the full technology integration of Talbots Law into its platform.

Advisers instructing Talbots Law through conveybuddy will now be able to transfer case information directly into the firm’s case management system, removing the need for duplicate data entry and enabling transaction information and updates to be viewed in real-time.

Talbots Law joins a growing number of fully integrated firms across the conveybuddy panel, including Advantage Property Lawyers, Chadwick Lawrence, Fidler and Pepper, Gorvins and Your Conveyancer. Integrated partners account for around 80% of all cases instructed through the platform.

Harpal Singh, CEO at conveybuddy, said: “Technology, used correctly, can remove friction from the conveyancing process. Every time information has to be entered into multiple systems, there is an opportunity for delays, duplication and simple human error. By fully integrating with Talbots Law, advisers who use conveybuddy can instruct cases knowing the information flows directly into their case management system, allowing work to begin immediately without unnecessary administration.”

Callum Haynes, sales director at Talbots Law, said: “We are very pleased to have completed our full integration with conveybuddy. Removing manual processes benefits both our teams and adviser users by improving the speed and accuracy of information shared throughout the transaction. It enables us to deliver an even better experience for advisers and their clients while allowing all stakeholders to focus on progressing cases rather than carrying out unnecessary administration.”

Maneka Dedigama, head of AML, fraud detection, process audit and compliance at Muve, said: That is an amazing efficiency gain for the conveyancing department. They can backfill that time saved with more cases and apply their focus where it is needed most.

“That’s huge for us, it’s good for business, client experiences and it’s also good for conveyancers who have better experiences at their desks every day.”

Olly Thornton-Berry, co-founder and CEO of Thirdfort, said: “Compliance teams are under pressure. Regulators demand greater rigour. Fee earners and clients want less friction. As Muve’s experience shows, too often the tools that regulated professionals must work with make that harder.

KnotweediD, developed by Alexander White, allows users to photograph a suspect plant and get a clear verdict within seconds.

“Japanese knotweed is at peak growth right now, and every summer thousands of homeowners across the country panic over harmless lookalikes like bindweed and dogwood”, White said.

“Knotweed can affect mortgages and sales, and sellers have to declare it when they sell. But most of what people spot isn’t knotweed at all. The app is built to stop the panic, not stoke it.”
