Women In Residential Property Webinar: Supporting the Men in our lives

On Wednesday 18th October 2023, Women In Residential Property (WIRP) are running a webinar as part of their wellbeing series.  Steve Phillip, Founder of the Jordan Legacy CIC will be the guest speaker on the topic: Supporting the men in our lives.

The webinar will cover:

  • Why suicide – why are 75% of all suicides men?
  • What leads some people to consider suicide
  • Dispelling the myth that ‘men don’t want to talk’ – removing the stigma
  • How to spot the signs of poor mental health in yourself and others
  • How to open-up a conversation and support someone who might be struggling with their mental health or suicidal thoughts
  • How and where to signpost someone who needs help
  • Actions we can all take to support those we care about

You will leave the session with a clearer understanding of mental ill-health and suicide, including the stigma surrounding both. You will also learn how you can help someone who is struggling with their mental health or feeling suicidal.

Tickets: £10 each, with all proceeds donated to The Jordan Legacy CIC which Steve set up in memory of his son. All genders are welcome at this event and you do not need to be a WIRP member to attend.
