The SRA has launched a new online scam alert search to make it easier to find warnings about bogus solicitors.

Due to a sharp increase in scam alerts the Authority has created instant access to the entire collection of alerts, including archives, instead of just posting them on their website.

The new system on their site allows users to search for scam alerts by keyword and date range and trace connected scams across a series of alerts.

The SRA is also planning to launch a series of warnings about developing trends and patterns in scammers’ approaches, along with alerts about suspicious activity that could warn users of a forthcoming scam.

More than 200 scam alerts have been posted since the SRA began publishing them in September 2011.

SRA scam alerts are also posted on their Twitter timeline: @sra_solicitors.
