The SRA has on 1st March issued an alert over the address Suite 04, 497 AJBC Business Centre, Sunleigh Road, Wembley, HAO 4LY which purports to be an address relating to ‘Hugh James Solicitors’. The SRA has been made aware of correspondence using this address, which also gives the telephone number 0208 733830. These contact details are not the legitimate details for the firm Hugh James Solicitors.
Hugh James is a genuine firm which is authorised and regulated by the SRA. The legitimate firm’s head office is located at Hodge House, 114-116 St Mary’s Street, Cardiff CF10 1DY. The firm also has branch offices at 102-106 Temple Chambers, 3-7 Temple Avenue, London, EC4Y ODA and Fusion Point 2, Dumballs Road, Cardiff, CF10 5BF.
The SRA warns that any transactions involving the Wembley address should be reported to the police, especially if it involves the transfer of money. The SRA can also be notified at redalert@sra.org.uk or using the phone number 0845 8500 999.
