The SRA has issued a notice to say that they have intervened to close Beevers Solicitors of 15a-19 Booth Street, Ashton-Under-Lyne, Lancashire, OL6 7LD

The firms ID was 77654.

The Committee was satisfied that grounds for intervention existed under: (a)Paragraph 1 (1) (c) of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Solicitors Act 1974 (as amended) because it was satisfied that the firm practised without professional indemnity insurance in policy default and had failed to secure the necessary run off cover, and;

(b) Paragraph 1 (1) (m) because owing to the absence of evidence that client money was and had been properly dealt with and safeguarded, it was necessary to intervene to protect the interests of clients or former or potential clients of Mr Lawson or his firm, or the interests of beneficiaries of any trust of which Mr Lawson is or was a trustee.

Neal Boland of Stephensons Solicitors LLP, 24 Lord Street, Leigh, WN7 1AB has been appointed as the intervening agent. For enquiries please call 01942 777777 or email nbo@stephensons.co.uk.
