Spotlight: British Conveyancing Award categories

Entries have now opened for the British Conveyancing Awards, but with the registration deadline set for 19th March 2021, we wanted to share some of the categories with you.

We’re spotlighting the following categories:

Best IT Team Award

In the last 12 months law firms have had to swiftly and efficiently move to remote working almost overnight. This award recognises an exceptional IT team who efficiently, and effectively supported colleagues in challenging circumstances to deliver exceptional services to their staff and clients without disruption.

Best Use of Marketing Award

This award looks at all aspects of how a firm or legal supplier promotes itself. This firm or legal supplier has shown that its use of marketing strategy has positively reached potential clients and increased the firm’s on and offline presence.

Best Use of Social Media Award

Social media is a significant part of many of our lives and harnessed correctly can be an incredibly powerful tool for individuals and businesses. This category recognises the use of social media in its own right to create an effective platform through which customers and clients can interact.

Technology Team of the Year Award

This award goes to a firm or legal supplier who has shown great initiative by implementing technology which has enhances the efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness of their business, or demonstrated how their technology has delivered an exceptional customer experience.

Risk Compliance Champion of the Year Award

Risk and compliance continue to be a core element of the conveyancing process. This category recognises the individual(s) who ensured that risk and compliance remained a central part of their conveyancing department’s day to day operations in a rapidly changing risk landscape.

Collaborator Champion Award

Conveyancing matters can only reach timely completion when all parties work together towards a common goal. This award recognises those firms who can demonstrate how they work collaboratively with all parties across the transaction to deliver exceptional client service and satisfaction.

Best New Training Initiative Award

Training has been a constant challenge for law firms juggling remote working, increased risk, new staff and the reintegration of furloughed colleagues. How have firms adapted their training to meet these challenges? What innovative or tried and trusted training programmes have they implemented?

At the moment we have an ‘early bird’ offer which is a discounted entry rate at £129 plus VAT. This enables you to enter up to three categories. The discount only runs till Friday 2nd March 2021. After that the price will increase to £169 plus VAT to enter up to three categories

The awards will take place on Tuesday 25th May 2021 with Samira Ahmed leading the celebrations from 3.30pm.

Jennifer van Deursen

Jen is the Senior Media Officer for Today’s Conveyancer, Today’s Wills & Probate  and Today’s Family Lawyer. Having gained a degree in Multimedia Computing, Jen fell into a content role after successfully applying for a job at Cheshire Police. During her 6-year service, she took on the role as personal Press Officer under the first Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire and worked in the busy press office for the force. Jen has experience in the marketing and communication sphere, which stems from her time in the public sector, private care sector and now here at the Practical Vision Network, where she can utilise her skills and challenge herself further.
