The Society of Licensed Conveyancers Annual Conference 2024

The Society of Licensed Conveyancers have confirmed that its 2024 Annual Conference will be held in Derby on 6th November in Derby.

Simon Law, Chairperson of the Society said:

“The SLC Annual Conference is the ‘go to’ event for conveyancers, property lawyers and legal executives. We are back in Derby again and have a great line-up of speakers. We have sessions planned on Digital Signatures, Leasehold reform, Material Information, Digitalization of Property data and data Standards. We will have updates on topical subjects such as the Building and Safety Act 2022, the revised Law Society TA 6 and ID verification amongst others.”

The SLC Conference is free for all members and non- members can book a place at a specially discounted rate until 8th of September. Simon Law added

“Mental health and well-being is a very important topic, and we will have presentations tailored for Conveyancers from the Chief Executive of LawCare, Elizabeth Rimmer. We have a great line up of speakers and sponsors, and it promises to be an engaging, informative, and interactive CPD event.”

Kate Faulkner OBE will be hosting the conference once again this year, and complimentary refreshments throughout the day, and of course lunch, are provided as usual.

To celebrate and socialise, they will have their usual informal dinner after the conference with drinks reception and entertainment at the Pride Park Stadium in Derby. Simon Law said:

“Following the success  of last year’s special presentation at the Dinner to welcome newly qualified Licensed Conveyancers to the profession, we will hold a presentation once again this year. Please encourage your newly qualified colleagues to come along and be part of this celebration.”
