Society of Licensed Conveyancers come together for annual conference

The Society of Licensed Conveyancers (SLC) has advised that there are still places available for this year’s annual conference, which will go ahead as a physical event at the Riverside Centre in Derby on Wednesday 17th November.

The conference is hosted by property expert Kate Faulkner with speakers from the newly-renamed Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, HM Land Registry, NAEA Property Mark, the National Trading Standards Estate and Letting Agency Team and RICS.

The agenda includes

  • ID verification and Safe Harbour
  • Regulation of estate agents
  • Cladding and EWS1 forms.
  • Up front information
  • Continuing changes to the management of lenders panels
  • Finding and training the conveyancers of the future

Bookings for the Conference have been very strong with SLC Chairperson Simon Law syaing

“It has been an extraordinary year for everyone in the conveyancing profession, and our Conference provides the opportunity to take stock, have a day away from the office, interact with fellow professionals and socialise with each other in the evening at the dinner in iPro Stadium.”

“As ever the Conference will focus on the challenges and increasing complexity that conveyancers face day in and day out in performing such a vital role for homebuyers and sellers,”

The SLC Conference will present an opportunity to engage with speakers and, will carry 6 CPD points. The Conference is free for members of the Society
