The Society of Licensed Conveyancers are delighted to confirm that the 2023 Annual Conference will be held in Derby on 15th November in Derby.
Simon Law, Chairperson of the Society said:
“The SLC Annual Conference has become the ‘go-to’ event for conveyancers, property lawyers and legal executives. Following the success of last year’s event, we are back in Derby again and have a great line-up of speakers. The Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA) is an important and evolving topic for conveyancers and Ian Quayle will be taking us through the latest developments on the subject. We will also have a lenders’ perspective on the BSA, an insurer’s view and we will be discussing limitations within Terms of Engagement.”
The SLC Conference is FREE for all members and non-members can book a place at a specially discounted rate until the end of September.
Simon Law added:
“Mental health and well-being is another important topic, and we will have presentations tailored for Conveyancers from different speakers helping to deal with the stress at the workplace and beyond. We have a great line up of speakers and sponsors, and it promises to be an engaging, informative, and interactive CPD event.”
The Society is also staging a special Students Programme, hosted by John Jones which will include sessions on enquiries before contract and avoiding Land Registry requisitions.
Kate Faulkner OBE will be hosting the conference once again this year, and complimentary refreshments throughout the day, and of course lunch, are provided as usual.

After the success of last year, we have added once again a special feature to welcome newly qualified Licensed Conveyancers to the profession
