Simplify Expands With Gordon Brown Law

Simplify, the UK’s largest conveyancing and property services group, has acquired the conveyancing business of Gordon Brown Law Firm (GBLF).

Gordon Brown Law Firm, based in Gateshead, are one of the largest and most respected conveyancing focused law firms in the North East of England.

David Grossman, chief executive officer at Simplify, said:

‘I’m delighted to announce the addition of the Gordon Brown Law team to the group. The acquisition very much reflects our growth ambition and helps build our physical presence across the whole of the UK – it’s a great fit for both companies as our values are closely aligned, especially our focus on customer care.’

Kathryn Taylor, managing partner at Gordon Brown Law Firm, added:

‘Having built and established the Gordon Brown brand over the last 39 years, this move allows us to focus on our core conveyancing business and to look forward to even greater success in the future. I’m excited that we can take advantage of the group’s innovation and support.’
The move follows on from the recent acquisition by Simplify of Cook Taylor Woodhouse and will further consolidate Simplify’s market leading position in UK conveyancing. The Gordon Brown Law team will join the existing law firms of Advantage Property Lawyers, DC Law, JS Law, Premier Property Lawyers and Cook Taylor Woodhouse Solicitors, the leading conveyancing panel management and property services specialist Move with Us, together with My Home Move and the QualitySolicitors brand and marketing network.
