Searchland has formed a partnership with Rightmove with the goal of addressing the housing crisis by enhancing the efficiency of housebuilders.
Rightmove currently holds the highest volume of traffic among UK property portals, serving as a primary platform for property buyers seeking various property types, including land sites, commercial plots, and overseas properties.
In May, Searchland expanded its services to Scotland, becoming the first site sourcing platform to provide data for all of Britain. A month later, it introduced an integrated AI-powered interface, significantly reducing the time it takes for developers to access and analyse local planning documents, both current and forthcoming, from various councils.
The partnership between Searchland and Rightmove Data Services is expected to streamline the property development process further. Although the Land Registry offers data on metrics such as sales volumes and sold prices, this information is often reported with a lag of up to six months, which may not accurately reflect current market conditions.
This collaboration will see Rightmove Data Services supplying Searchland with real-time market comparable data derived from their own listings, giving developers insight into how the market is presently performing. Beyond the current value of potential land sites, Searchland will use data from Rightmove Data Services to provide information on all available properties, including new-build and existing properties.
