A ‘reform-ready’ sales pack that “delivers on the proposals in the government’s response to the home buying and selling reform consultation” has been launched by Landmark Information Group.

Available at the point of listing, the bundle includes a regulated local search, a drainage and water search, and Landmark’s Homecheck Residential environmental report. The pack aims to bring together key searches at the point of listing to give buyers and sellers greater certainty, Landmark said.

The pack also includes the option to instruct condition reports through Landmark’s national network.

The sales pack is the first in a series of reform-ready solutions Landmark says it is developing to help customers adapt to the future home buying and selling process.

Simon Brown, CEO at Landmark Information Group, said: “The move towards greater upfront property information, through Project 28 and alongside government reforms, will require every part of the market to adapt how transactions are prepared and how information is shared.

“Sales Pack Ready is the first in a series of solutions we are developing specifically around the home buying and selling reform roadmap. It represents an important step in helping the industry move towards transactions that are better informed, more connected and more certain from the outset.”

Landmark is part of a coalition of suppliers who have come together behind a blueprint for faster, more transparent and more certain transactions. The Project 28 Charter is an industry lead collective supporting earlier preparation, trusted data and greater transparency, which is says is reinforced by the government’s home buying and selling reform response and focuses on enabling access to trusted information earlier in the transaction to mitigate the risk of fall throughs.
