Three surveying brands have come together under a new identity, combining 225 years of surveying heritage.
Leaders Romans Group (LRG) have announced Stirling Ackroyd Surveyors, MAP and Romans have been rebranded as MAP Chartered Surveyors bringing the group’s surveying and valuation services together under a single national name for the first time. The existing management team continues in situ to lead the business.
The Stirling Ackroyd brand has been around for 150 years, MAP for 40 years and Romans for 35 years. The combined business provide a regional network across the country with more than 50 surveyors. MAP Chartered Surveyors will continue to work with its existing client base, which includes more than 400 business to business clients and 200 lenders, while growing through LRG’s national branch network. The addition of the Northern Estate Agencies Group (NEAG) to LRG late last year, which brought 36 branches across West Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester into the group, is also expected to drive surveying activity in the north of the country through client referrals.
Commenting on the rebrand, Ryan Mathews, Group Managing Director of Surveying at LRG, said: “Bringing Stirling Ackroyd, MAP and Romans together under one name is a natural step for us. Each brand has built its reputation on the same things: thorough inspections, sound advice and doing the right thing by the client. Nothing about that changes; what does is our scale. Operating as one business, we will complete more than 20,000 inspections on £8.4bn worth of property, supporting clients wherever they are while keeping the local knowledge that good surveying depends on.”
Neil Louth, Group Executive Director, LRG and CEO, Acorn Group, added: “MAP has been a trusted name in surveying for four decades, so it’s fitting that it now brings together the combined strength, expertise and heritage of three highly respected brands.
“This rebrand reflects not only the significant growth of our surveying operation, but also our ambition for the future. For our clients, it will continue to be the same experienced people delivering the same high standards of service, but now with the benefit of national coverage and the resources and expertise of one of the UK’s largest property services groups.”
