Key industry figure Kate Faulkner has been awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours List in recognition of her pioneering work in property.
Faulkner – the Managing Director of Designsonproperty.co.uk and Propertychecklists.co.uk – has been a pivotal part of the Home Buying and Selling Group’s (HBSG) work as well as that of the Lettings Industry Council.
“I am delighted (and gobsmacked!) to announce that I was very kindly nominated for a New Year’s Honour,” said Faulkner, adding:
“I have to say there is nothing I haven’t achieved without huge help and support from the property industry, both professionally and personally.
Thank you to everyone who I have cajoled, begged and those that offered to help make a difference in putting and keeping a roof over consumers heads.
Working in property is not always an easy job, but for me the property industry is one of the best places to work with the smartest and kindest of people. I hope over the coming year or so to celebrate with everyone!”
