Promoting Positive Wellbeing For The Legal Sector

Leading online news publication Today’s Conveyancer is pleased to announce the addition of LawCare to its roster of partners.

LawCare is an independent charity offering emotional support, information and training to the legal community in the UK and Ireland and will offer some much needed support to our community during this difficult time.

The charity offers a free, confidential emotional support service to all legal professionals, their support staff and families.

Helpline calls, emails, and webchats are answered by trained staff and volunteers with first-hand experience of working in the law.
LawCare also has a network of peer supporters and a range of online factsheets and resources on a variety of issues such as stress, sleep and anxiety. Earlier in the year it launched an online learning module in emotional competence and professional resilience Fit for Law – available at fitforlaw.org.uk.

Commenting on the tie up, Gemma Matthews, Communications Manager, for LawCare, said:

“We’re delighted to partner with Today’s Conveyancer. We’re living in a very difficult time and the legal community is more in need of emotional support than ever. We hope the partnership will help us reach even more legal professionals, giving them somewhere to turn when they need support.”

Today’s Conveyancer’s Director, Karen Babington, said:

“Clearly we are operating in uncertain times and as a profession there will be anxiety about what the future holds. We felt that now more than ever it is important to provide access to support for our community of readers.

  1. Every firm should be obliged to appoint a staff support leader with appropriate training. Especially now.
