Pickfords Suspending Operations Following Government Briefing

Tuesday 24th March 2020 saw one of the oldest functioning companies in the UK suspended their trading following Government guidelines.

Pickfords, a removal and storage company working internationally, announced that with immediate effect, all of its operations in the UK and Mainland Europe have been suspended until further notice.

Over the next three weeks, there will be a skeleton customer response team available and any moves that are in progress will continue, however Covid-19 operational practices will be observed to ensure that employees and customers are kept safe.

The company has promised that when the ban has been lifted, customers will be able to rebook the ‘operational aspects of their move’.

There will be many companies in the housing sector, from estate agents, surveyors and solicitors, who are being greatly affected by the current conditions and having put into place measures that will protect customers, staff and the business itself.

These times are unprecedented, we would love to know how you are working to keep your business and staff safe during the weeks and months ahead.
