PEXA appoints experienced conveyancer Rob Hosier as head of conveyancer relationships

Property exchange platform PEXA has announced the appointment of Rob Hosier as head of conveyancer relationships, following the launch of the full PEXA platform, including Sale & Purchase, to the UK market.

Hosier brings over 18 years of experience in the conveyancing sector to the role, including working as a conveyancer at Loosemores Solicitors. He joins PEXA from inCase, where he was a director for eight years. He grew inCase to handle well over 10% of conveyancing transactions in the UK and improved the experience and efficiency of many conveyancing practices.

Prior to inCase, Hosier spent 12 years as a director with Convey Law. He has also recently been a director at the UK LegalTech Association, and was a trustee The Conveyancing Foundation for four years.

‘His experience doing the job, and trying to improve the conveyancing process, give him specialist insight as to the hardships conveyancers face, and how PEXA can best collaborate with them’, PEXA said.

Hosier commented:

“I am truly passionate about reducing the stress and pressure conveyancers face. The job gets harder every year and I am joining PEXA with a shared belief that we can start to make it easier, safer and even more enjoyable to convey property.

“PEXA has made significant strides in improving the process for conveyancers in the UK and I want to be a part of that journey by supporting firms to experience the numerous benefits PEXA can provide. I look forward to working with the talented team to further build on their strong foundations with conveyancers, ensuring we continue to deliver unparalleled value to our clients.”

In his new role, which begins with immediate effect, Hosier will oversee the management and growth of PEXA’s relationships with all conveyancers, leveraging his network to showcase the advantages of the platform and build on the interest already established from early adopter firms.

PEXA says the appointment comes at a critical time, as it continues to build momentum in the UK. The formal announcement of the launch of its full platform, adding its Sale & Purchase capability to the existing remortgage platform, followed several significant milestones including approval to act as an Authorised Payment Institution (API) from the Financial Conduct Authority  in April.

PEXA’s UK CEO Joe Pepper commented:

“Conveyancers are overworked, constantly at maximum capacity operating in a market of intense consumer demand. The fact is that the back-end infrastructure that supports them is not fit for purpose, and adds to their stress rather than helping them deliver the outcomes they want for their clients.

“As an ex-conveyancer, Rob has first hand experience of these issues and to have him on board is testament to the fact that we’re addressing them in the right way for the UK market. His extensive expertise will further cement the building and strengthening of our relationships with conveyancers as we look to build on our momentum.”
