Partner Eddie Goldsmith Retires from GWlegal

After 35 years as a devoted and well respected partner of GWlegal, Eddie Goldsmith retires from the firm.

After many years of success its comes at no surprise that Eddie has built up quite the reputation. He is well known for his infectious smile and his devotion to the conveyancing industry as The Chairman of the Conveyancing Association.

Eddie began his career in 1984 as one of the founding partners of GWlegal (formally Goldsmith Williams Solicitors), a company that is recognised as one of the largest providers of legal services in the mortgage intermediary market.

It’s safe to say over the last 35 years Eddie hasn’t stopped, but his hard work and kindness have never gone unnoticed in the conveyancing world.

In 2017 Eddie won ‘Business Leader’ in the ‘conveyancer’ category at the British Specialist Lending Awards. The awards, recognised “the stand out achievements of the most deserving individuals in the specialist sector of the UK Mortgage Industry.” After Eddie’s many successes, it was a delight for him to receive the award.

When asked about his retirement Eddie comments:

“I have nothing but lots of memories and lots of highs. It wouldn’t have been possible without working with lots of great staff both present and previously employed by GW.”

Although GWlegal is very sad to see Eddie leave it is business as usual for staff at the firm who will continue to carry the torch for Eddie.

On behalf of the staff of GW they would like to wish Eddie a prosperous and happy retirement spending time with his family and travelling.
