The Conveyancing Association (CA), the leading representative body for the conveyancing industry, has today (27th November 2024) announced Orbital Witness, the all-in-one property due diligence automation platform for lawyers and property professionals, as its latest Affiliate member.
Established in 2018, Orbital Witness leverages AI, in-house legal expertise and insurance models to streamline property due diligence for real estate lawyers.
Orbital Witness said its conveyancing-focused AI solution, Orbital Residential, helps firms save time, boost profitability and deliver exceptional client experiences – while also reducing risk across every transaction.
Orbital Residential said it is trusted by hundreds of conveyancers nationwide: serving both small, boutique practices as well as the larger, nationwide firms.
In 2024, Orbital Witness won the ‘Conveyancing Collaborators of the Year’ award in partnership with Enact, at the British Conveyancing Awards, as well as ‘Legal AI Supplier of the Year’ at the Modern Law Awards.
Orbital Witness said it had chosen to partner with the CA to deepen the company’s engagement with its customers and to contribute to discussions about the future of conveyancing in the age of AI.
Orbital Witness will be attending the CA’s 2025 Annual Conference & Dinner, which is taking place on Thursday 30th January at the Hilton Deansgate Hotel in Manchester entitled, ‘Past, present and future – where is the conveyancing industry up to and what can we expect in the future?’
Edmond Boulle, Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Orbital Witness, said:
“We’re thrilled to announce our membership of the Conveyancing Association, marking an exciting new chapter for our Orbital Residential product. Over the past two years, we’ve had the privilege of working closely with luminaries in the residential conveyancing community, gaining invaluable insights that have helped us take some of the pressure off conveyancing lawyers on tens of thousands of transactions. We’ve been continually inspired by the strength of this community and the willingness to collaborate and embrace the latest technology. Joining the Association gives us a fantastic opportunity to connect, engage and learn from its members as we look ahead to 2025.”
Nicky Heathcote, Non-Executive Chair of The Conveyancing Association, said:
“As always, it is a real pleasure to welcome a new Affiliate member to the CA and we are looking forward to working with the Orbital Witness team, introducing them to our member firms and building a strong relationship between all parties. Throughout 2025 Orbital Witness will have a presence at our meetings and specifically next year’s Annual Conference & Dinner which is now just over a couple of months away and promises to be a highly informative day for all who attend. Being an Affiliate member of the CA is a hugely important step for any business, as it shows the commitment they have made to the conveyancing profession, and it also allows us as a representative body to make the most of their insight and resource to help us drive our workstreams and to improve the home buying and selling process for conveyancers and consumers.”
