A group shot of the new appointments at Mincoffs

New property partner among recent hires at Mincoffs

North East law firm Mincoffs has appointed Ashleigh Warne as partner in a series of April promotions. Warne will work closely with partner and head of residential conveyancing Emma Liddle, where she will utilise her ‘vast experience’ of handling complex property cases.

The Mincoffs residential conveyancing team has also been boosted with the appointment of associate solicitor Anne-Marie Thompson to help with increasing client demand. Thompson has more than 20 years of experience in property transactions.

Warne said of the partnership:

“When I started at Mincoffs eight years ago, I never dreamed I would achieve this level of progression in such a reputable, supportive and friendly firm. I am thrilled with the promotion and the opportunity and I look forward to working closely with the rest of the partnership to support Mincoffs’ future growth and success.”

Thompson said of her new role:

“Mincoffs is a longstanding firm in the North East with an excellent reputation, and having worked on the other side of conveyancing matters with the residential team for a number of years, I knew that it was a brilliant team with a wealth of experience who have client care at the forefront of what they do.”

Laura Liddle has progressed to associate solicitor in the employment team, and two new trainee solicitors have been awarded training contracts, bringing the total to four.

Paul Hughes, senior partner and head of corporate, said:

“We are delighted to announce a series of appointments to our employment, residential conveyancing and real estate teams. Mincoffs Solicitors has expanded significantly over the last five years and we have plans for further growth in the near future.”

Mincoffs has welcomed 19 new staff in the last 12 months and recruitment is ongoing for a number of additional roles. The firm has provided legal services across the North East for more than 75 years.
