New online community aims to untangle AI for law firm leaders

Compliance firm HiveRisk has launched a community network to help SME law firm leaders keep pace with AI adoption.

The HiveMind Circle offers its members an online and in-person community built around an online platform. As well as featuring online discussion forums, the platform will connect leaders with suppliers who specialise in supporting law firm projects. In-person roundtables and conferences are also planned.

The network has been designed as an active professional community filled with knowledge, collaboration and high‑value content, its creators Kate Burt and Nina Dayal (pictured) explain.

Alongside expert‑led classroom sessions, compliance‑focused podcasts and webinars, and interactive ‘ask the experts’ forums, HiveRisk is developing a learning platform offering free guidance and practical resources.

Basic membership is free, with paid-for memberships available and the option to pay for masterclasses, a structured learning hub and live Q&A sessions with specialists.

Kate Burt, founder and CEO of HiveRisk, said: “The launch marks a shift in how professional services firms can access specialist support. HiveMind Circle is much more than a traditional referral network as it brings together trusted specialists so clients can access the right expertise, at the right time, through one connected ecosystem.”

HiveRisk’s client partnership lead Nina Dayal added: “Technology is evolving rapidly, but the need for expert judgement remains human.”

The first confirmed members of the network include Jameson Legal Technology, Knowledge Nexus, Digital Law, Karen Eckstein Ltd, Codified Strategy Ltd, AI Advantage Advisory and SJ Does, with more to be announced.

Matthew Letts, founder of Codified Strategy Ltd, said: “Making the right technology decisions and choosing the right partner has never been more important for law firms. HiveMind Circle experts can give practical, vendor‑neutral advice.”

Burt concluded: “HiveMind Circle is a movement and a community, built on the belief that trusted relationships, shared expertise and collective innovation. The Circle is open to conversations with like‑minded specialists who share our values and are committed to helping firms innovate responsibly. The future belongs to collaboration, not competition.”

The first session will feature Kate Burt and Richard Dawson, who will discuss the catch 22 problems of adopting AI on 9th September. To find out more about how to join, visit https://hiverisk.com/the-hivemind-circle/
